Wired Nature Part 1

My Wired Nature was a second year University project of which was exhibited in Dolby Forest.

This project was the contrast between man-made products and the study of plants, mostly flowers. This series of wires began by hand painting near a hundred buttons of different sizes white and then hand painting various small flower types onto the face of the buttons. Using some industrial thick wire, I sowed the wire through the button like thread would in normal stitch. Once I was satisfied with the length and amount of wire flowers, I sharped the end of the wire and planted them into the ground for the exhibition. Putting man-made flowers back into nature. Dolby Forest was an excellent place to exhibit for this reason.
